Capping
Sealing the free edge of the nail by running product or polish along the tip to lock in the coating and prevent chipping.
Capping the free edge means painting or sculpting product over the very tip of the nail. This 'caps' the layers so they don't peel or chip from the edge — a small step that dramatically extends wear time for gel polish and enhancements.
