Building an extension freehand on a form rather than using a pre-made tip.
Sculpting uses a paper or reusable form placed under the free edge as a template, onto which the tech builds acrylic or gel to create length and shape. Sculpted nails avoid the bulk of tips and allow precise control of the apex and C-curve.
